To perform copyediting and proofreading duties in support of internal communications campaigns and projects. Major Responsibilities:
Assists with researching and writing routine internal communications.
Edits, and reviews for accuracy, messages created by team members.
Proofreads and reviews content developed by the Employee Communications team.
Monitors all reviewed materials for adherence to established editorial, visual and related branding standards using Navy Federal’s Style Guide and Brand Book as references.
Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications—Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Target:
Proficiency composing promotional copy for employee audiences.
Demonstrated writing and editing skills (samples required).
Demonstrated command of English grammar and vocabulary.
Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to gather, analyze, organize and interpret data.
Ability to interpret and apply regulations, instructions and procedures.
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency using standard Windows-based programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Strongly Desired: College student in communications, marketing, English, journalism or related field. ** Must be currently enrolled in College courses to be eligible. Preferably a student in communications, marketing, English, journalism or related field. Hours: To be determined. Minimum of 20-25 hours per week as schedule permits.
