* This position will be partially remote, with the expectation of being in the office in person on a rotating basis after a training period.
Role:TheCredit Resolution Recovery Expertpromotes member financial well-being through engaging members in meaningful conversations to collect on charged-off loans and draft accounts, address financial inquiries, enrich the members\' experience, and deepen their relationship with the Credit Union. This position is responsible for preserving the Credit Union\'s assets by managing charged-off loans/accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments through workout methods, and curing overdrawn/charged-off checking accounts. The Credit Resolution Recovery Expert is a self-starter that is goal oriented that works well in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:The pay for this position is\$23.83 an hour.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned charged-off consumer and mortgage loans or share accounts in a charged-off status through contact by phone, text, email and/or mail. Maintains records of all collection activities including detailed notes regarding all communications and actions.
Pursue solutions to resolve post charge-off and deficiency balance accounts.
Achieve various numeric standards and goals for servicing accounts without sacrificing quality of service while adhering to state and federal (FDCPA/CFPB) guidelines and consistently representing the credit union in a professional manner.
Counsels members on their options through education of alternative solutions.
Utilize all skip tracing tools to locate borrowers whose current contact information is inaccurate.
Re-establish and maintain communication with members to minimize credit union loss while building and cultivating relationships with the borrowers to help them find ways to make meeting their obligations possible according to the companys standard
Completes assignment to pursue 3rd party collections when internal collection efforts have been exhausted.
Prepares batch recovery assignment file to send to 3rd party collections for further collection up to and including legal.
Posting and reconciliation of recovery funds collected from 3rd party collections.
Assists in preparing court documents, estate claims, research, and archival of collection documentation.
Identifies which accounts should be referred to outside counsel for legal collection action and performs periodic follow-up with assigned agency and / or attorney.
Ensure charged off recovery process is maximized while reducing our net loan losses.
Prepares file for Deceased Recovery collections, including quality assurance reviews for data integrity and validity, including returned items to the deceased member follow up queues
Assists with recovery collection training for current or new team members and provides recommendations for process improvement.
Researches and maintains expert level knowledge of rules and regulations concerning collections. Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union pr
