Are you an experienced underwriter with a passion for assessing risk, making data-driven decisions, and forging lasting partnerships?

Join our team as aCaptive Underwriterin our National Accounts group, and take the lead in evaluating large commercial auto business for both new and renewal business.In this role, you will assess and underwrite complex commercial auto accountswithin our nation-wide captive program.You will use your expertise to build strong relationships with some of our largest insuredsin our industry leading captive programand effectively communicate Great West\'s mission ofpremierservice as one of the nation\'s largest commercial auto insurers. Your industry knowledge and ability to gain buy-in are key to succeeding in this exciting position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review applications on new and renewal business for large fleets and captives.
• Identify exposures of large insureds and determine which products would provide the best coverage for their specific needs.
• Consult with agents, account executives, and other internal parties regarding policy issues/questions.
• Occasional travel to develop relationships and promotethe captive program along withthe Great West Difference.
• Work in a collaborative fashion with internal groups to make the best possible recommendations for all stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business or related field is preferred.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in insurance underwriting.
• Thorough knowledge of truck coverages and motor carrier operations requiring insurance coverage is preferred.
• Ability to market and sell products and programs to insureds while partnering with agents.
