Herbruck's of PA is looking for motivated individuals to build our local team! Herbruck's is based out of Michigan and has expanded to Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. With locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, Herbruck's supplies nearly 3 billion farm-fresh eggs and 55 million pounds of liquid egg product to retailers and foodservice outlets across the nation annually. Our flock has grown from 3,000 egg-laying hens in the late 1950s to 10+ million today.
The fertilizer position is ideal for someone with equipment operation experience. if you have worked in agriculture, you make a great candidate! You will be working with machinery used to pelletize fertilizer product.
Essential Job Duties:
Maintain and operate fertilizer machinery
All augers and conveyors
Rotary drum dryer
Bag house and Cyclone
Pellet mills
Work on conveyance
Run equipment to process manure
Welding/Cutting/Grinding of equipment
Lubing of equipment
Perform maintenance on equipment
Operating heavy wheeled loaders, scissor lifts and boom lifts
Cleaning maintaining of equipment
Problem solving and troubleshooting
· Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Farm experience a plus!
- Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as assigned
· Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
· Able to work around moving machinery comfortably
· Working in a farm environment with very dusty conditions
· Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine or birds
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors
Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 lbs. continuously throughout the day
Ability to climb ladders
