Position Summary This position provides strategic marketing communications expertise to the Commercial Marketing team that produce tangible results, provides careful planning, precision execution, and maximum performance that support STERIS's commercial plans and marketing growth initiatives in a cost-effective manner. Provides multi-functional tactical support for the Commercial Marketing function. Duties Execute strategic communications plans that align with the strategic growth initiatives. Write creative briefs in support of these projects. Provide strategic value to the Senior Manager to allow for concise and compelling communication of a value proposition. Position yourself as a "thought partner" to the leaders of the business and commercial segments in order to create market differentiation and value creation. Manage marketing communication activities for Marketing communications activities to include: integrated campaigns, trade show marketing, strategy and content, web content, sales support and customer collateral and electronic media, tools/resources to communicate positioning and value propositions to each Customer segment. Research promotional channels and media for maximum performance on spend. Analyze market research provided by the marketing group to better understand our customers' needs and market segment trends, in order to better communicate our key messages. Maintain our status as marketing communication subject matter experts by being active members of local/regional communication networks, attending seminars/webinars on new forms of communication, subscribe to industry newsletter and publications, etc. Analyze and track competitive value props and key messaging...Provide insight as to potential competitive strategy. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact with all levels of internal clients, Customers and external vendors Self directed problem solver & accomplished "doer" Exceptional project management skills. Adept at managing high volume, complexity, fluidity and ambiguity while maintaining professional poise and delivering on commitments. Multi Tasker Exhibits the ability to evaluate the strength of communication and or creative concepts Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills Ability to prioritize work, handles multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines while maintaining flexibility to re-assess and re-prioritize. Required Experience Bachelor's degree preferred. Will accept minimum of 12 years' experience in lieu of degree 5+ years marketing and or marketing communications experience (or 3+ years of STERIS experience) of time sensitive communication materials Knowledge of desktop publishing, layout and design as well as commercial printing processes are a plus *Domestic travel required 15% of time What we offer The opportunity to join a company that will invest in you for the long-term.
