Description
Robert Half is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer who specializes in Servers, Virtualization, Networking, Security, and Datacenter Management. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, routing, and switching. They will also have extensive experience with our core focus areas.
This is an onsite role in the greater Milwaukee area, and will require travel to client sights. NO REMOTE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee operations and maintenance of Microsoft Servers (2003, 2008, 2012), and Exchange Servers (2003, 2007, 2010).
Implement and manage virtualization technology, specifically Hyper-V & VMware.
Administer and support SAN storage solutions.
Manage Cisco Products/Technology and ASA Firewalls (including VPN). Experience with this is a plus.
Conduct wireless site surveys and implement routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWALL, etc.).
Create, test, and manage system backup and disaster recovery solutions, such as Barracuda, Veeam, and Symantec.
Provide hardware support for HP/Dell workstations and servers.
Implement and oversee Cloud computing solutions, including Office 365 and Google Apps.
Execute Microsoft SQL maintenance and management operations.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for this role should have a degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Several years of experience in a similar role and experience in working with a Managed Service Provider are required.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate proficient problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
Requirements - Knowledgeable of network design and implementation strategies
5+ years networking experience
Strong familiarity with switches
Cisco Networking experience
General familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Server
Practical knowledge of SANs (Storage Area Networks)
Good understanding of Cisco ASA Firewall
Skills in Veeam
Comprehension of Network integration
Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP
Previous experience working with Barracuda
Wide ranging experience with VMware
Quality experience with Hyper-V
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Server OS
Microsoft Exchange Server experience
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager/System Management Server
IP Routing experience required
