GLENROY INC Quality Technician in MENOMONEE FALLS, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh nonagricultural raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. Under the direction of and reporting to the Quality Control Lead, the Quality Technician is responsible for verifying finished product and process quality specifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform product test and measures in accordance with product specifications and react appropriately to non-conforming issues identified. Monitor production activities in accordance to established GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Perform approval of product specifications and line start-ups. Identify and provide test documentation for product line start-ups. Perform assigned audits/inspections in a timely manner. Summarize and create quality data for customer shipments (COA Certificate of Analysis). Initiate and record product holds. Perform final product release for shipments. Assemble and file production test retains and records. Fill-in on production line as Packer/Quality Inspector as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models. Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards. Inspect or test raw materials, parts, or products to determine compliance with environmental standards. Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications. Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status. Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems. Position products, components, or parts for testing. Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required. Read dials or meters to verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Weigh materials, products, containers, or samples to verify packaging weights or ingredient quantities. Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic computer skills including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook Must be able to read a metric and standard ruler. The ability to communicate effectively to include coaching the Packer/Quality Inspector position. High school math skills. The ability to multi-task. The ability to work as a team member.
