FTE: 1.000000 Shift: 4 Schedule: 8 hour shifts between the hours of 0700-2100; Every third weekend Job Summary: As a member of the IPS team, you will be an essential point of contact for our Froedtert Pharmacy patients as well as internal and external staff, providing them with exceptional customer service and support telephonically or through communication platforms, such as MyChart. You will be responsible for handling patient and staff inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism and efficiency. This role is crucial in maintaining Froedtert Pharmacy\'s reputation for excellence and fostering positive relationships with our patients and staff. Key Responsibilities: * Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for patients and staff calling the pharmacy with inquiries, prescription refills, medication questions, and other concerns. Provide friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to ensure customer satisfaction. * Inquiry Resolution: Address customer concerns, questions, and complaints promptly and effectively. Help develop, utilize existing, and publish new resources, reference materials, and protocols to provide accurate information and solutions. * Prescription Management: Process prescription refill requests, verify patient information, and ensure adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers as needed to facilitate prescription refills and transfers. * Insurance Verification: Assist customers and staff with insurance-related inquiries, including coverage verification, prior authorization requirements, and billing issues. Coordinate with insurance companies and pharmacy staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing of claims. * Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, prescription requests, and other pertinent information in pharmacy databases and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA). * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team to facilitate seamless communication and coordination of care for customers. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Leadership training is preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Exceptional customer service skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group. Proven attention to detail. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Proven leadership skills. Experience with various computer systems and programs.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration.
