The Facebook Business Suite team owns the Facebook Business Suite service, offered on mobile and web. We serve an estimated 230 million businesses using Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp every month. Our team's mission is to maximize the value businesses receive from all Facebook properties (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) by offering a single product for businesses to drive, manage, and measure outcomes across Facebook Inc. One team is focused on building a reliable, scalable & unified permissions platform that enables permissions for businesses across Facebook Inc.The other team focuses on the platform to allow businesses to manage their online identity across Facebook Inc. (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) The ideal candidate will have a background in a technical field, will have strong program management skills and experience working in a complex cross-functional environment. You are methodical, a self-starter, and passionate about building great platforms that are key to the growth and success of a product offered to business customers. This role requires someone to drive projects and key initiatives across the FBS organization and the internal partners adding functionality into FBS. This person should be adept at managing efforts with tight deadlines, identifying and driving technical decisions, and building cross-functional relationships with Facebook Inc. teams. This person should work with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional counterparts to scope out projects, define milestones, and define success metrics.
Work closely with engineering, data science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver new experiences and capabilities for business permission and identity management.
Develop overall strategy and roadmap for execution of the vision, working closely with the engineering and product management counterparts.
Communicate effectively across functions and to the broader organization as well as leadership on the vision and program status.
Work proactively to identify and mitigate challenges as well as troubleshoot bottlenecks.
Identify the need for creating new programs and proactively advise engineering and product counterparts on product vision as well as technical architecture.
Help the team define and keep the team updated on key performance indicators (SLAs) for the platforms. Effectively coordinate communication in case of any issues.
Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team.
Build strong partnerships with key cross-functional teams within FBS and across Facebook.
Proven technical product management or technical program management experience.
Communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
Organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, exposure to large-scale systems and experience working directly with Engineering and Product teams.
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and demonstrate critical thinking capabilities.
Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different geographic locations.
