Our client, a leading global venture firm managing over $24 billion, invests in entrepreneurs from startup to growth phases.
The fund accountant will be a key member of their finance team, enjoying a positive work environment with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Updating cap tables and valuing portfolio companies
Reviewing quarterly fund financials from external accountants
Consolidating subsidiary financial statements and additional schedules
Managing cash flow by preparing and suggesting capital calls and distributions
Conducting quarterly portfolio reviews with presentations
Preparing financial statements for employee funds
Performing historical trend analysis and ad hoc research/reporting
Assisting with audit and tax needs
Requirements
3+ years of experience in fund accounting or audit within venture capital or private equity
Thorough understanding of GAAP
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaborative environments
Excellent communication abilities and a preference for small team dynamics
Thrives in fast-paced, hands-on, detail-oriented settings
Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude, eager to learn and take initiative
Exceptional organizational skills, adept at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and deadlines with professionalism
Enthusiastic about efficient work practices and committed to continuous improvement
