Meta Finance Associate, Global Affairs & Legal in Menlo Park, California

This role requires strategic thinking, building connections and influencing stakeholders through effective communication, an analytical mindset, and a bias towards action.This person will work closely with Finance Managers, Corporate FP&A, and key cross-functional partners to bring more scale, efficiency, innovation, and discipline to the G&A Finance team. Specifically, this role will have primary responsibility supporting Global Affairs and Legal functions. Required Skills:

Finance Associate, Global Affairs & Legal Responsibilities:

  1. Strategically partner with the Global Affairs and Legal organizations, assisting with strategic decision-making and financial oversight. Provide financial leadership across budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.

  2. Influence business partners by providing proactive suggestions and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

  3. Build the bottoms-up budget, forecast and long-range strategic plan for headcount, and operating expenses. Develop budget review presentations, excel models and ad-hoc analyses for the business.

  4. Perform the monthly close process and review the full P&L during close periods to ensure financial data accuracy.

  5. Review monthly reports, trends and metrics with business partners, and provide suggestions for improvement. Ensure and maintain forecast data accuracy and integrity.

  6. Work closely with the Accounting teams to ensure tight financial controls and fulfillment of audit requirements.

  7. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy and lead projects to deliver improvements in productivity and operating costs.

  8. Collaborate with teams in Finance and Operations including vendor management, Legal Ops, Finance Center of Excellence, and Legal Technology Solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years of finance-related experience

  2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent major

  3. Experience with P&L analysis and a proven understanding of GAAP

  4. Business partnering, Communication and interpersonal skills

  5. Organization skills and experience thriving under pressure and meet deadlines

  6. Proven technical skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

  1. 4+ years accounting or financial analysis experience, accounting and/or fixed assets experience

  2. Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion Planning and Essbase

  3. Advanced skills in SQL, visual reporting/dashboarding such as Tableau

Public Compensation:

$92,000/year to $135,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
