Essential Functions
Manages daily and month-end accounting operations and accounting information systems including general ledger functions, accounts payable functions, accounting of fixed assets, and financial reporting.
Ensures financial record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and in compliance with State, Federal and CHAP regulations.
Prepares journal entries, collects and evaluates data, conducts analysis, prepares reports, and communicates findings with management.
Responsible for monthly credit card and general ledger account reconciliations.
Assists in preparation of financial and operating reports on a monthly basis.
Updates process documentation and helps either assist with or lead process improvement efforts.
Prepares schedules with supporting documentation for annual financial statement audit.
Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all HIPAA regulations and requirements. Treats all patient information as confidential and utilizes protected health information on a minimum necessary basis.
Qualifications
Education/ Licensure/ Certification Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
CPA (preferred)
3+ years of progressive accounting experience in general ledger, month-end close process, and financial statement preparation (required)
Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations (required)
Intermediate to advanced proficiency level working in Excel and various accounting software programs (preferred)
Healthcare/Hospice industry experience (preferred)
Ability to pass DHS background study.

The starting salary range for this role is $59,000-$68,000 annual base salary. This range is a good faith estimate; we may pay more or less than the posted range, and this range may be modified in the future. Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
