Description
We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team situated in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, operating in the High Tech - Pharm/Biotech industry. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with handling customer applications, accurately updating customer records, responding to customer queries, and managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process customer credit applications
• Offer comprehensive financial reports, records, and manage general ledger accounts
• Assist with the preparation of journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations while contributing to monthly close processes
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Collaborate with the team to provide financial disclosure reporting to corporate
• Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits as necessary
• Prepare internal and external financial statements through gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system
• Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information
• Maintain and update the ERP fixed asset register, manage depreciation (tax and accounting), CIP and match to supporting documentation and month-end reconciliation
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Uphold the organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Provide necessary assistance to the accounting manager as needed.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position
• Proficient in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Skilled at creating and posting journal entries
• Ability to handle month-end close procedures
• Previous experience in the Pharm/Biotech industry is preferred
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
