JOB REQUIREMENTS: Safety Manager - Essity243957 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety Manager About the Role Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently seeking a Safety Manager for our Midwest Region. This position will be based in our manufacturing facility in Menasha, WI. As part of the site leadership team (SLT) this critical position will be responsible for: promoting a proactive safety culture that engages all employees, implementing programs that ensure sustainable compliance to applicable regulations and Essity requirements, and drives risk reduction and hazard elimination through continuous improvement processes. What You Will Do * Lead the site-wide safety culture change by implementing Essity I Care Journey steps; * Establish safety goals, objectives and implementation plan with the site leadership team; * Develops and updates all safety policies, procedures, and training modules; * Coordinates supervisory and employee safety training and record keeping; * Lead the coordination of safety communications site-wide; * Implement a management system that ensures compliance with applicable regulations; * Coordinates and participates in the Union/Management Safety Committee meetings; * Supervises activities of contract security guard services; * Coordinates safety audits, incident, and accident investigations; * Manage entry of safety data metrics in company database; * Coordinate and support machine safety risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis, and pre-job work permit planning to reduce risks; * Lead the contractor management program; * Perform other essential responsibilities as deemed necessary.
