Description We are in search of a Technical Support Specialist III to join our team in MEMPHIS, Tennessee. This role is crucial in the management of our IT infrastructure services, providing global support to our businesses. The position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where the specialist will analyze, investigate, and resolve global infrastructure incidents and problems.

Responsibilities:

• Operating and managing storage and Virtual VMware infrastructure to ensure the delivery of our hosted services.

• Proactively monitoring the IT estate to maintain high availability of services.

• Utilizing the Service Now tool for incident management.

• Installing or removing hardware and/or software and associated connections following supplied instructions and tools.

• Documenting results of installations in accordance with agreed procedures.

• Contributing to investigations of problems and faults concerning the installation of hardware and/or software.

• Collecting agreed performance statistics using system management software and tools.

• Performing operational procedures including network configuration, installation, and maintenance.

• Using network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.

• Implementing maintenance and installation work.

• Carrying out defined system backups and restoring data where necessary.

• Performing regular high-performance scalable backups and restores on a schedule and tracking offsite storage.

• Carrying out documented configuration for allocation of storage, installation, and maintenance of the storage system as per the agreed operational procedure.

• Identifying operational problems and contributing to their resolution. Requirements • In-depth knowledge and understanding of technical support functions

• Proficiency in operations and procedures related to technical support

• Experience with the implementation and configuration management of various systems

• Familiarity with networking, including knowledge of routers, switches, and networking tools

• Expertise in monitoring tools and specification frameworks

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining storage and backup technologies

• Understanding of computer hardware, Linux technologies, and VMware

• Experience with firewall technologies, Microsoft Windows Server, and Cisco Technologies

• Knowledge of scalability and scale-out methods

• Familiarity with restoration processes and procedures

• Skills in statistical analysis and data interpretation

• Ability to work with VMware technologies and ensure their proper configuration and maintenance
