SUMMARY
AutoZone is looking for a Quality Engineer with SAP experience to be part of the growing quality engineering team and provide technical and functional expertise in Finance ERP domain. This position is accountable and responsible for establishing and maintaining QE best practices across different tracks, writing test scenarios, and executing tests both manually and with automated tools, and experience in leading and coaching of the team. The Quality Engineer will work with engineers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and other team members. This includes applying domain knowledge, using technical skills, mentoring others, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required.
Key responsibilities
Lead and oversee the SAP testing team in planning, executing, and managing comprehensive testing strategies for SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements for Record to Report, Order to Cash modules like, General Ledger, Accounts payable, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Asset accounting, Controlling, Treasury etc.
Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and other team members to understand the requirements and develop test strategies.
Assist project teams in identifying the needs and coordinating the establishment of appropriate test environments.
Write, review, and maintain test automation scripts using Tricentis automation tools for SAP modules across different test environments.
Advise project teams on appropriate approaches to testing delivered products, including test tool sets.
Perform business applications functional system, integration (end-to-end) tests for new and existing applications.
Handle data migration projects with comprehensive test plan.
Oversee processes for identifying, tracking, and reporting the results of test procedures.
Find, track, and prioritize defects and work toward their resolution.
Define, track and improve quality assurance metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, defect densities and open defect counts.
Participate in the review and approval process of project deliverables.
Act as a subject matter expert on SAP testing best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends to drive continuous improvement.
Foster relationships between Finance technology and other IT organizations, external entities, and vendors
Provide guidance and mentorship to the testing team, promoting skill development and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in SAP Quality engineering and 8+ overall testing experience including functional testing and test automation solutions.
Previous work experience should demonstrate the ability to handle geographically distributed multiple projects simultaneously, complete and deliver projects on time
Extensive experience with SDLC and QA methodologies, including SAP Finance Functional testing, E2E testing, Automation, Regression Testing and usability testing.
Expertise in Testing Life Cycle and Defect life Cycle
Have hands on experience on SAP, Tricentis Tosca, Syniti, Jira, Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, Restassured, Jenkins, Version control tools and CI/CD
Knowledge on Java, SQL, Unix and scripting languages
Experience in test data management and exposure to test data management tools
Effective written and verbal communication
Strong analytical skill
Exposure to Agile methodology
