AutoZone, Inc. Senior Financial Analyst Fixed Assets in Memphis, Tennessee
The Fixed Assets Senior Analyst is an integral part of the Tax team. This position is responsible for helping drive process improvements and implementing change across the organization as well as assisting in the period close process for the Fixed Assets. Key responsibilities include:
Review complex journal entries requiring strong accounting and analytical skills to ensure financial reporting complies with US GAAP and company policies
Create and review balance sheet reconciliations
Accommodate internal and external audit requests
Manage, model, and forecast depreciation and Capex on a periodic basis
Partner with the Tax and AutoZone Control and Planning Teams to provide support and accurate timely forecasting
Partner with Mexico Accounting Team to help drive Mexico fixed asset and forecasting process
Partner with group in managing the weekly fixed asset flows
Partner with various tax personnel to assist in providing accurate and timely bonus depreciation numbers
Other key responsibilities as identified
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with a minimum of five years related experience or equivalent required.
MBA or CPA preferred
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Strong procedure development and implementation skills, and demonstrated process improvement ability
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet constant deadlines.
Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve processes and performance
Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
Ability to succeed in a team environment
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
