Insight Global Remote GCP Engineer in Memphis, Tennessee
Job Description
A Fortune 250 company in Memphis, TN is looking for a Remote Senior GCP Engineer. This engineer will be joining a group of three engineers in a B2C DevOps Customer Satisfaction vertical to help with a phased migration. While 60% of responsibilities will be hands on coding/developing, the other 30% of the time will be responsible for leading and guiding the other engineers and architecture. Throughout this phased migration, this engineer will be migrating PCF applications from om prem to GCP. Within the next fiscal year, this large client is working through a cloud transformation. This consultant will work with changes needed on application (development has been completed) to ensure details are ready to be deployed. Changes that may need to be made will be to existing springboot/java applications or converting existing applications to springboot/java. While being aligned with the devops to support development of new features on GCP environment functions like creating and configuring GCP along with creating and updating CICD pipelines on Gitlab. Areas of responsibilities like spinning up necessary GCP containers (GKE) to support the converted PCG applications will be required and other cloud development and configuration changes, troubleshooting issues and fine tuning GCP infrastructure for optimizing performance which can support traffic volume will be required.
