Description
Position Overview: As a Network Engineer with a focus on Azure, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based network infrastructure. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our network systems, enabling us to provide top-notch services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Configure and manage Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, VPN Gateways, and ExpressRoute.
Implement and manage network security solutions, such as Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure DDoS Protection.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate on-premises network infrastructure with Azure cloud environments.
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
Stay updated with the latest Azure networking technologies and best practices to recommend enhancements and optimizations.
Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to address network emergencies and support critical systems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud services.
Strong knowledge of Azure networking components and services.
Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
Experience with hybrid network architectures and integrating on-premises systems with cloud environments.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to network security in the banking sector.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks.
