Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety procedures, rules, and regulations. This role involves the maintenance and repair of the entire facility, ranging from basic equipment to complex machinery. The technician will use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to review work orders, identify needed repairs on equipment, and acquire parts, equipment, and tools to complete repairs. All activities must be documented through the work management system.
Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure machine reliability.
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, including industrial controls.
Communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees.
Participate in daily shift meetings, provide feedback, aid in prioritizing, and review work orders to schedule daily work.
Contribute to plant continuous improvement initiatives through constant feedback concerning CI ideas and PM optimization.
Maintain and repair the entire facility, including basic equipment and complex machinery.
Use CMMS to review work orders, identify needed repairs, and acquire necessary parts, equipment, and tools.
Document all activities through the work management system.
Essential Skills
Electrical troubleshooting
Mechanical maintenance
Preventive maintenance
CNC maintenance
Hydraulics and pneumatics
PLC troubleshooting
Maintenance repair
Good welding and fabrication skills
Ability to read blueprints and parts diagrams
Use of multi-meter (voltage, continuity, amperage, etc.)
Understanding of hydraulic principles (process flow, pumps, valves, pipefitting principles, etc.)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Highly disciplined, problem-solver, team player with a strong work ethic
Safety conscious
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of components (bearings, gearbox, power distribution)
Can read and understand control schematics
Ability to troubleshoot motors and understand 3-phase voltage
Understanding of AC drives and basic parameter adjustment
