Resideo Senior Technical Program Manager in Melville, New York

As a Senior Technology Program Manager within the Security line of business at Resideo, you'll utilize program management skills to partner with world class engineering teams to execute product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity. You'll manage budgets based on numerous key characteristics, both business and technical related.

You'll have the chance to be instrumental in driving many projects from conception through to release, ensuring optimal execution, and utilizing the pool of resources to the highest efficiency.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage project execution following Resideo execution model, ensuring that the project goals, metrics, and objectives are met

  • Direct and manage project development from conception through to release

  • Develop end to end project plans and associated project deliverables required for the successful project execution

  • Track project milestones and deliverables against the approved baseline

  • Identify and manage project risks and assist in the creation of mitigation and contingency plans

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

  • Communicate Project Status at all levels within the organization

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans

  • Ensure that the corporate project tracking tool is kept up to date

  • Manage and Maintain project resource plan

  • Leverage project metrics to improve project execution

  • Help drive the sharing of best practices across the project management team

  • Continuously evaluate the new product design, development, and release processes and suggest improvements to reduce product cycle times

  • Effectively manage budget tracking and control, promptly escalating any potential overruns

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience across areas such as Engineering Management, Project Management, or People Management in Electronics/Manufacturing industries

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive successful projects while managing time pressures and constraints

  • The typical base salary for this role, ranges from USD $158,061 to $274,983 per year but varies by specific work location. Within a range, Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.

  • This role is eligible to participate in the Resideo Bonus Plan (RBP) subject to the terms and conditions of the Plan. You can earn an annual bonus of 15% of your annual salary. This percent will be prorated based on your hire date. Business performance against pre-established financial goals for the fiscal year will determine 100% of the bonus payment amount. If your first day of eligibility under the Plan is after November 1st, you are not eligible for an RBP payout in March of the following year.
