Description
We are inviting applications for the role of a Payroll Administrator based in Melville, New York. The selected candidate will be joining our fantastic team - a leader in the distribution industry. The role involves managing the company's payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees, and maintaining comprehensive payroll records.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the company's payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Maintain comprehensive payroll records, including hours worked, deductions, and reimbursements.
• Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for 150 employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Utilize software platforms such as ADP Workforce Now and Paycom to streamline and automate payroll processes.
• Coordinate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries related to payroll.
• Monitor and report on key payroll metrics to management.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure correct payroll accounting.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest payroll trends and industry best practices.
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner and adhere to data protection regulations
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and or Paycom preferred
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Familiarity with Multistate Payroll
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
