Northwell Health Associate Cyber Security Analyst in Melville, New York

Job Description

Protects the organization's digital assets from unauthorized access. This includes securing systems which protect both online and on-premise infrastructures, responding to alerts, mitigating risks before breaches occur and supporting efforts to contain, triage and recover from cyber incidents when they occur.

Job Responsibility

Works on straightforward assignments to protect computer systems, networks, and data from loss and potential service interruptions due to cyber incidents. Analyzes and documents cyber security risks, breaches, and incidents by following documented procedures. Analyzes, reports, and responds to detected cyber incidents. Uses cybersecurity tools to proactively search for threats to systems and networks. Operates cyber security software and follows established protocols to protect systems and information infrastructure. Regularly contributes to objectives and collaborates with the cyber security team to perform tests and find network weaknesses. Assists with researching and recommending cyber security tools/systems which enhance protection, detection and response capabilities. Follows standard cyber security policies, techniques and practices. Seeks new information and keeps current on the latest cyber security intelligence technologies, trends, and standards. Job Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field, required.

Certifications including but not limited to Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISSAP, ISSEP, or GSEC, required.

0-1 years of related experience, required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong Analytical Skills and can identify data patterns or anomalies in large data sets

  • Ability to understand business requirement and apply them into technical requirements

  • Strong business analyst and process engineering skills

  • Demonstrate ability for scripting (VBScript, JavaScript, Powershell) &/or programming (java or .net) coding ability

  • 2 plus years of technical analyst or implementation experience. Preferably this experience is related with IAM technologies (Sailpoint, Oracle Identity Manager, Saviynt etc... )

  • Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, relational databases (i.e. Oracle, MS Sql Server, My SQL, DB2).

  • Demonstrate competent oral and written communications skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Related Field is Preferred.

The salary range for this position is $75,020-$126,250/year
