Description:

Gottlieb Memorial Hospital's Peri-Op Director role is the highest nursing leadership role in Peri-Operative Services and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, part of the Loyola Medicine System, is an acute care hospital with 247 licensed beds and a Level II Trauma Center located in the heart of the Melrose Park Community. Known for strong orthopedic, urology and general surgery services lines, Gottlieb is on the journey to becoming a Bariatric Center of Excellence. The Peri-Op Director will have the opportunity to partake in our initial Magnet journey.

What you will do:

MISSION: Comprehends, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity

Health mission, vision, and values in leadership behaviors, practices, and

decisions. Supports and endorses senior leadership goals, objectives,

strategies, and decisions. Demonstrates that providing excellent Perioperative services for patients, visitors, and colleagues at community hospitals across the Region is the focal point of decision-making.

PLANNING: Leads strategic Perioperative planning for the Region's

community hospitals in collaboration with Loyola Medicine CNO, to meet

customer need and organizational goals. Works with senior leadership to

assess Perioperative processes, opportunities, and challenges. Develops

Perioperative plans to prepare the Region's community hospitals for

future Perioperative needs and implement strategies to successfully meet

those needs.

OPERATIONS: Directs the development of policies, procedures and

staffing plans essential to the day-to-day operation of multiple departments and locations across the Region's community hospitals. Assures the effective and efficient daily operations and long-term effectiveness of all Perioperative community hospital sites. Implementation and ongoing revision of the Professional Practice Model. Conducts annual reviews and revisions to meet current trends and organizational needs. Oversees and maintains accountability for compliance with all regulatory standards including The Joint Commission, Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois licensing requirements, and organizational quality improvement programs for Perioperative services within the Region.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT / METRICS: Provides effective communication to Loyola Medicine regional office, regional community hospital leadership and colleagues to establish an effective understanding of organizational mission and strategic goals necessary to achieve them.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Responsible for the Region’s community

hospital Perioperative program financial outcomes and meeting departmental budgets according to established procedures. Develops an annual budget to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to support operations and meet Local Health Ministry and Regional goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.

  • 6-10 years of work experience

  • 3-5 years of managerial experience.

  • Current RN License in State of Illinois.

Pay Range: $128,003- $211,203

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Annual Bonus: Eligible for incentive compensation annual target as outlined in Plan Document.
