Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at our facility located in Melrose Park, IL, 60160. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC Lathes and mill machines, including both 2-4 axis and 5+ axis models. Your expertise in G-Code programming, machine setups for production runs, and troubleshooting CNC machines will be essential in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of parts.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain CNC machines, including both 2-4 axis and 5+ axis models.
Program and edit G-Code to control machine operations.
Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and materials are in place.
Operate CNC lathes and mills with G-code programming.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines to minimize downtime.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and protocols.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
Document production data, including machine settings, tooling changes, and production counts.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines
Proficient in G-Code programming and editing.
Strong knowledge of machine setups for production runs
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines.
Familiarity with machine brands such as Kia, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, and Doosan
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials.
