DoorDash Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations (Driver Excellence) in Melbourne, United States

About the Team

The Driver Strategy & Operations team ensures every delivery is completed with speed, accuracy, and a positive Consumer, Merchant and Driver (‘Dasher’) experience. We’re building the world’s leading last-mile logistics platform, and our team owns initiatives that touch all parts of the Dasher and Logistics life cycle ranging from cost and quality to Dasher retention, to order batching and beyond.

Our mission is to be the most cost-efficient and best-in-class quality last-mile delivery platform for Customers and Merchants, as well as the preferred platform for anyone looking for flexible work in Australia & New Zealand.

About the Role

You will own and lead quality across our marketplace. You will be responsible for driving growth through improving our quality and building the capabilities to enable us to fulfill increasingly complex types of deliveries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and analysing data to root cause issues that are impacting the experiences of our Consumers, Merchants and Dashers.

  • Developing our strategy and go-to-market for how we improve our delivery quality to drive growth, and finding opportunities to reinvest cost savings from our business.

  • Being directly responsible for our quality metrics across a subset of our product offering, and developing plans to improve performance.

  • Leading the set up, day-to-day execution and go-to-market of new operational and product initiatives to improve our fulfillment capabilities.

You’re excited about this role because you will…

  • Strategise: Develop the strategy to best serve our audiences through a period of growth.

  • Implement: Drive multiple cross-functional projects and implement scalable initiatives to sustain a world-class operation.

  • Analyse: Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, assess performance metrics, and make informed decisions to optimise existing processes or build new ones.

  • Experiment: Use data to run tests on everything from market-level delivery times to new Merchant launches on our platform.

  • Influence: Work with many teams like: Operations, Legal, Comms, Policy, Product, Engineering, and Analytics to drive strategic initiatives and harness opportunities.

We're excited about you because you have…

  • 4+ years' experience in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, analytics or related experience

  • Proven analytical skills and can deliver actionable recommendations from complex datasets; advanced Excel skills are a must and familiarity with SQL is preferred (or a strong desire to learn).

  • An operator mindset and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to execute, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence key stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving skills that enable you to independently translate a high-level vision into measurable success metrics and actionable plans.
