Robert Half Tax Analyst in Melbourne, Florida
Description We are in search of a meticulous Tax Analyst to join our team based in Melbourne, Florida. This role fundamentally involves focusing on resolving missing filings and payment postings, primarily within State Unemployment and ADP systems. The role is offered on a short term contract basis.
Responsibilities:
• Clearing of missing filings in State Unemployment and ADP systems.
• Handling payment postings and catch up activities.
• Correcting missing documentation issues with Taxing authorities.
• Specializing in Payroll tax operations.
• Resolving tax-related problems using specialized skills and knowledge.
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and BlackLine for efficient task completion.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Providing excellent customer service to address and resolve inquiries.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records for smooth operations.
• Performing auditing tasks as necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance. Requirements • Possess a minimum of ten years of experience in a similar role as a Tax Analyst
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in using ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing
• Proven track record in Compliance
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Excellent Documentation skills
• Ability to interpret and implement tax laws and regulations
• Able to prepare and review tax returns and reports
• Capability to conduct tax research and planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Analyst (CTA) certification is preferred.
