Job Title: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Administrator (Melbourne, FL)

Job Location: Melbourne, Fl.

Job Description:

The PKI Administrator will be responsible for the management and governance of the organization's PKI systems. This role requires a deep understanding of cryptography, certificate management processes, and security best practices to ensure the secure issuance, management, and use of digital certificates.

Essential Functions:

  • Administer and manage the PKI infrastructure, including Certificate Authorities (CAs), Registration Authorities (RAs), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and certificate management systems.

  • Issue, renew, and revoke digital certificates as per the established policies and procedures.

  • Develop and maintain PKI policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Monitor the health and performance of the PKI systems, and perform regular system audits.

  • Coordinate with IT and security teams to integrate PKI with other systems such as email, web servers, and network devices.

  • Respond to PKI-related incidents and participate in the resolution and root cause analysis.

  • Provide guidance and support for certificate usage and management to internal teams.

  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and PKI technologies to maintain system security.

  • Manage relationships with external PKI service providers and vendors.

  • Conduct training sessions to educate staff on PKI policies and certificate management best practices.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Active Directory knowledge

  • Windows Server Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of cryptography, including asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, and key management.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience in managing PKI infrastructure and digital certificates.

  • PKI with Windows\Linux Active Directory knowledge preferred

  • Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus.

  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or related certifications are preferred.

  • Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus.

  • RSA Token Administration
