Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Information Systems Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Integration, Test, and Evaluation organization. The Project Manager will join our OneCyber team within the Lab Operations organization located in Melbourne, FL .

The Information Systems Project Manager will work directly with the Cyber Systems Engineering team to manage and direct projects in the design, implementation and modification of projects that span across functional organizations. You will provide oversight of projects and daily tasking of technical and business resources, aspects of the strategic operations rhythm and programmatic implementation support, and provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. In this role, you will be developing and managing multiple team projects, preparing status reports, assessing project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Note: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing tools and methodologies for monitoring project progress and problem solving with project managers.

  • Creating templates for presentations and documents and assist with document preparation to ensure quality and consistency across team deliverables.

  • Coordination with internal customers, external customers, partners, suppliers, and project team members

  • Responsibility for developing, maintaining, and communicating processes and process changes to impacted stakeholders

  • Interfacing with functional roles for staffing and forecasting

  • Ensuring consistent, predictable team progress to weekly, monthly, and annual goals

  • Prepare status charts, presentation slides, metrics, and tracking spreadsheets along with leading OneCyber project teams

  • Manage operational tasks through the implementation of Project Management principles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline AND 5 years of qualifiable professional/military experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of qualifiable professional/military experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline; OR PhD in a STEM discipline AND 1 year of qualifiable professional/military experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience with Project Management principles in a professional setting

  • Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification or higher (e.g. Security+ CE or equivalent)

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, prior to the start of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

  • Current Special Access Program (SAP) access

  • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience with JIRA or other agile process management tools

  • Experience with EVMS processes

  • Experience working in Cybersecurity environment

  • Expertise with the entire Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range: $95,300 - $142,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
