Job Summary

Orion180 is on the hunt for a seasoned Full-Stack Software Developer with a background in database technologies and a proven track record in data analysis and business intelligence reporting. This role is pivotal in leading an agile team in advancing our cutting-edge insurance web portal.

Role and Responsibilities

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of Orion180 operations standards, established security/safety rules and requirements for attendance. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:

  • Data Stewardship:Oversee data governance, ensure data quality, and manage comprehensive data strategies.
  • Database Architecture:Design robust databases and critically evaluate database modifications proposed by other teams, serving as a quality gatekeeper.
  • Analytics and Reporting:Develop data analytics, craft interactive Power BI dashboards, and manage data reporting, including exports and imports.
  • System Maintenance:Maintain the integrity and performance of databases, data stores, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Application Development:Create intuitive web application interfaces utilizing Vue.js, C#.NET Core, REST services, Entity Framework (EF), SQL, Microsoft Azure, and other Microsoft stack technologies.
  • Code Excellence:Write well-architected, testable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Development Patterns:Employ both code-first and database-first design patterns with Entity Framework effectively.
  • Agile Collaboration: Works in an Agile-Scrum environment, contributing to project plans and adhering to industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Demonstrate completed work bi-weekly and provide stakeholders with regular progress updates.

Physical Demands

While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include, to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading.

Work Environment

The office environment is generally quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due conversations, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its nterior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, work an extended schedule depending on company/department needs, project requirements or customer demands.
