Job Description * * To be fully engaged in providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by assisting licensed personnel in providing nursing care in performing and maintaining arterial venous sheath removal and procedures under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Primary Accountabilities * Performs arterial and venous sheath removal post cardiac and radiology procedures under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. * Maintains and documents care of the puncture site post sheath removal under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. * Performs quality EKG tracing and performs Stat EKG's when requested. * Performs phlebotomy and ensures accurate labeling of specimens. * Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs, expectations, age, cultural, and individual differences.
Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Must Complete Basic Dysrhythmia course with at least 80% passing grade and completion of 80 clinical hours. * Current Florida certificate as a Nursing Assistant or must obtain within four months of hire. * Must complete Hospital Cardiac Care Technician curriculum within 6 months of hire. * Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card.
