The Opportunity

As a member of KBR’s Water Resources team in Melbourne you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of challenging projects that expand your skill base and keep you engaged. On any given day you could be building and calibrating a full catchment flood model or be part of the design team for a major infrastructure project in Australia or globally.

You will work with a national group of highly regarded industry practitioners who value technical expertise and innovation. You will apply practical on-the-ground problem solving and engineering solutions and work with our clients collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes. You will have the opportunity if desired to lead projects and manage work-winning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic investigation and design for a wide range of studies including rural and urban flood studies, transport and mine infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modelling, stormwater management and mine water management

  • Support the delivery of water resources projects nationally

  • Provide technical expertise and support to the engineering and environment team

  • Develop strong relationships with our clients.

  • Support the delivery of technical models and reports to a high standard, contributing to KBR’s reputation for the delivery of quality project outputs.

  • TUFLOW/HEC-RAS modeling and project management

Who are you?

Any exposure to the following areas would be highly desirable:

  • WSUD

  • Waterway design

  • Wetland design

  • Dams

  • Retarding basins

  • Major drainage assets

Your role will have elements of strategy, design and delivery. You will complete reports and models, be involved in GIS mapping, flood modelling, bids, proposals and mentoring juniors.
