The Role: As the Host you will be working in a Front of House team, you will support the Restaurant Manager by being the most engaging host who can control the floor from the door. You will be responsible formaking sure guests feel welcomed, cared for and valued. Create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons from the moment they enter the hotel’s Level 25 Langlands Restaurant.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Control the room from the door and support our floor team maintaining a smooth workflow

  • Utilise your food and beverage knowledge and service to heighten the guest’s overall experience

  • Seat and greet playfully whilst enchanting the guests with your local knowledge

  • Opening and closing of the space, inclusive of opening closing TILS and reconciliation

  • Update table plans and allocate bookings promptly

  • Compile to Occupation Health and Food Safety procedures and standards

Qualifications:

About you:

  • A current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

  • Experience using a POS platform, specifically Infrasys POS

  • Enthusiastic and engaging attitude

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage your time

  • Sophisticated and clear communication skills

  • The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
