University of Miami Director, Government Reporting and Reimbursement in Medley, Florida

The Department of UHealth Reimbursement is currently seeking a full time Director, Government Reporting and Reimbursement to work in Medley. The incumbent in this position assists the AVP of Government Reporting and Reimbursement in all areas of Medicare and Medicaid reporting, including CDM management.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with monitoring changes in Federal and State regulations regarding hospital and physician reimbursement requirements, with priority focus on billing changes impacting physician and hospital chargemasters.

  • Assists in preparing cost reports, monitoring compliance with CMS regulations, attestations, and preparing to report on all supplemental Federal and State reimbursement matters.

  • Coordinates Medicare and Medicaid audits and assists with preparation of all supporting work papers and documentation.

  • Analyzes Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) correspondence and interim rate setting to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance with regulations.

  • Assist with Provider based attestations and all Federal and State reporting associated with them

  • Monitors changes in Federal and State regulations affecting the healthcare industry and assists with preparation of pro-forma analysis as it relates to third-party reimbursement.

  • Assists with preparation of the annual State of Florida, Agency for Health Care Administration Reports, including DSH, GME, and FHURS.

  • Assists with preparation and review of annual physician LIP reporting and other regulatory/contractually obligated reports.

  • Works with senior management to research, analyze, and communicate reimbursement matters.

  • Assist with strategic pricing analysis and ongoing CDM maintenance.

  • Assist with the annual budget for charge master pricing and supplemental revenues.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    CORE QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Certification and Licensing:

CPA certification preferred

Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience.
