Anticipated initial assignment is Orleans and/or Niagara Counties. It is currently anticipated that the position will be part-time. The position could potentially increase to full-time. Classes are approximately six weeks with 150 hours of instruction per class, held four days per week. The individual will oversee classroom/lab and clinical instruction for small groups of students to prepare them to take the Prometric certification exam. Must have a current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license and a minimum of two (2) years' experience. Previous teaching experience is desired. It is preferred that the individual have at least one (1) year of experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill. Must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. It is anticipated that an individual would qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. The assignment is subject to change. Salary: $35.50 per hour.
