Robert Half Sr. VP of Accounting in Media, Pennsylvania
Description
Property management firm seeks a Sr. VP of Accounting with proven experience working with Real Estate/Real Estate Private Equity/REITs. This Sr. VP of Accounting will oversee and implement risk management strategies, ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations, track and forecast cash flow, assist with the annual budgeting process, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, implement best practices for maintaining successful accounting practices and process, and provide leadership/mentorship to accounting professionals as needed. This Sr. VP of Accounting will retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position ensuring all documents and filings meet federal and internal compliance obligations.
Primary Responsibilities
· Oversee revenue accounting and accounting operations
· Create annual/quarterly financial strategic plan and budget
· Ensure adherence to current financial laws and guidelines
· Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
· Provide insight on areas that need improvement
· Stay abreast to new accounting systems and technology
· Assist with all audit and internal control operations
· Oversee the company’s finance IT system
· Ad-Hoc projects as needed
· Support upper management as needed
Requirements
The ideal Sr. VP of Accounting will have a Masters degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Sr. VP of Accounting role include and are not limited to:
· 10+ years public accounting experience with solid leadership skills
· CPA required
· Yardi a plus
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
