Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Driver License Examiner Assistant (Granite Run) in Media, Pennsylvania

The Department of Transportation is on the hunt for a Driver License Examiner Assistant at our Granite Run Driver License Center. In this position, you will manage the application and knowledge testing for commercial and non-commercial driver's licenses in Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will engage directly with customers to confirm applicant identification, ensure the completion of application forms, and input data into online driver license application systems. You will administer standardized knowledge assessments to gauge the applicant's comprehension of the Vehicle Code, driving regulations, and relevant traffic control devices. A vision screening for visual acuity will be conducted for all applicants using a telebinocular instrument. You will enter applicant test outcomes and customer applications for driver license services into online software systems via a PC terminal. It is essential to strictly follow all elements of the Driver and Vehicle Services' Customer Service Policy. You will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate fee waiver code is utilized and accurately documented whenever a fee waiver is required for processing a customer transaction, in compliance with all Fee Waiver Guidelines. Additional related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
