JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for an independent self-starter to drive recruitment and retention efforts for our new Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) program! This limited-term position will be responsible for identifying, engaging, training, and supervising MRC volunteers to prepare, respond, and lead in emergency and recovery efforts, as well as increase engagement and support for the program through outreach and recruitment activities. This flexible position is considered a .6FTE, or approximately 24 hours per week (up to 48 hours in a two-week period), which will be based on staff availability, MRC goals, and departmental needs. Starting wage is based on qualifications and experience. This limited-term casual position is not eligible for benefits. The purpose of the Taylor County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is to recruit, retain, and reengage trained professionals and volunteers to respond in the event of public health or other community emergency to protect the health and safety of all residents and visitors throughout Taylor County. This new organization launched in May 2024 consists of both medical and nonmedical residents who are looking to get involved in their communities. Volunteer roles may include shelter management, reunification centers, first aid supports, and other administrative roles in both emergency and nonemergency situations. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent and hold a valid WI driver\'s license. Strong communications (both written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills are desired.
