Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Service Manager 2 for our partnership with Medford School District in the Medford, Oregon area. The Food Service Manager 2 provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. The Medford School District encompasses 361 square miles in the heart of Southern Oregon's beautiful Rogue River Valley. Medford is a diverse community with an enrollment of approximately 14,000. The Sodexo management team consists of 1 Operations Manager, 1 Food Service Manager, 1 Catering Manager, and General Manager. Food Service Managers are required to have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle . Work mileage reimbursement provided. Experience in K12 schools food production is required.

The Medford School District encompasses 361 square miles in the heart of Southern Oregon's beautiful Rogue Valley. We serve 14,000 students in 13 elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, and three schools of choice: a K-8 outdoor school, an online school (3-12), and a project-based learning high school.

Key Duties

  • Establishes a safe work environment

  • Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

  • Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

  • Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

  • Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

  • Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;

  • deliver high quality food service;

  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;

  • develop strategic plans;

  • create a positive environment; and/or

  • ensure Sodexo standards are met.

  • plan menus and manage the ordering process.

  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or

  • demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.
