The Labor Relations Division of the Department of Corrections; Human Resource Office is seeking an analytically minded administrative professional to complete our team. This position gives you the opportunity to perform employee relations duties as well as provide technical assistance, advice, and strategies to Central Office Executive Staff, Institutional Superintendents, and Field Human Resource Officers. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Human Resource Analyst 1, you will work closely with managers, providing support in crafting responses and strategies to address grievances effectively. Work includes investigating assigned grievances, conducting interviews, collecting and analyzing relevant facts, as well as attending and participating in contract negotiations. Upon review of union agendas, you will assist staff with responses to grievances and present them at state-wide and region meet and discuss sessions. You will also have the opportunity to assist with pre-disciplinary conferences, investigations, and fact-findings where you will gather the appropriate evidence to support disciplinary actions. This position requires a deep working knowledge of the provisions within collective bargaining agreements and memorandums of understanding.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Human Resource Management Trainee program (Commonwealth title); or One year as a Human Resource Assistant 2 or an Equal Opportunity Assistant (Commonwealth titles); or One year of paraprofessional analytical experience and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
