Are you an organized and motivated administrative professional with and a keen eye for details? The Department of Corrections, Bureau of Administration is seeking a highly motivated, detailed-orientated person with excellent people skills to join our team as an Administrative Officer 1. This position administers and coordinates program services as they relate to agency travel and human resource liaison functions for individuals assigned to the Bureau of Administration, as well as assists with special projects. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Officer 1 for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for administering and directing the Commonwealth's travel program. This includes collaborating with the Bureau of Financial Management, Governor's office, Bureau of Commonwealth Payroll Operations, and Commonwealth Office Travel Operations to develop, implement, and train in relation to all travel rules and policies for the Commonwealth and Department of Criminal Justice along with employees at the Department of Corrections which includes independent boards such as the Parole Board, Board of Pardons, Sex Offenders Assessment Board, and the Office of Victim Advocate.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week) Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Travel: As needed This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time (3) days a week, reporting to the office (2) days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. Free parking! Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note, selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,839.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
