Senior Financial Analyst (Finance & Finance Tech Team)

Did you know that the Finance organization needs financial analysts to do analysis on the finance organization itself? That’s our team! We are seeking a motivated professional for a Senior Associate position on the Finance & Finance Tech team. This role’s focus will start with focusing on several of the largest Finance organizations in the company. The associate will perform core Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) duties for their organization, including managing monthly processes & forecasts, perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad hoc requests, preparing profit & loss or other statements, build reports for higher level associates, conducting scenario planning to strategically advise senior leaders, and leading project work that stretches across all of Finance. This role will also contribute to the storytelling that ultimately goes to the Finance Senior Leadership team.

The key opportunity in this role is to build relationships with multiple leaders across Finance and strengthen your analytical skills. You will be the primary analyst that is delivering insights which help them drive forward their agenda while ensuring they meet their financial commitments. What metrics can you form that will influence the way they look at their organization? Are there any striking trends that change the way we should frame up discussions? What’s the best way to balance business needs with financial performance?

You will also be asked to challenge our current processes to be more proactive, effective and efficient.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver accurate, meaningful, and efficient financial forecasts and management reporting to help our partners deliver on their financial objectives.

  • Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management

  • Collaborate with system analysts to maintain and develop system to house models

  • Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data

  • Business presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams

  • Ad-hoc requests and special projects

  • Independently manage and prioritize workload

  • Perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements

  • Frequently create reports for higher level associates

  • Provide management and business clients with project statuses

  • Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year experience in financial analysis

  • At least 1 year experience with financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering) or military experience

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Accounting, Finance, or Economics

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

  • 2+ years experience in financial analysis

  • 2+ years experience with financial modeling

  • 1+ years experience in technology or financial services

  • 1+ years experience partnering with internal stakeholders

  • 1+ years experience with SQL and Python

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
