The Recruitment Marketing, Attraction, Brand and Event Principal will create and cultivate strategies to implement talent campaigns to drive candidate attraction to support the overall talent brand efforts of the MITRE Talent Acquisition Team to support our company mission: Solving Problems for a Safer World.

In alignment with our organization’s workforce plan, this person will share talent trends, make expert recommendations, implement creative campaigns, manage external partners, and drive additional representation at our key events. As a key partner within the Talent Acquisition team, you will collaborate with our talent acquisition leaders and colleagues.

The focus will be to optimize the talent brand strategy, strengthen our employer brand, and develop strong targeted talent pipelines that will enable our organization to achieve its strategic mission with “ready now talent.”

This position follows our hybrid work policy and will require someone to be on site about three days per week in our Mclean campus.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction on talent branding and marketing for our Talent Acquisition team while being technically and tactically proficient. Must also have a passion for successfully delivering talent pipelines while building a brand and can serve as a strong advocate for our candidates and employees.

Strategic Impact

  • Lead the total talent attraction strategy and recruitment marketing efforts.

  • Design, create content for, and execute recruiting strategies to attract top talent including strengthening talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs, such as events (social/virtual/in-person).

  • Build strategies to source and attract talent through both digital and physical recruiting channels.

  • Analyze workforce plan, hiring reports and open requisition reports to develop talent brand strategies, recommendations, and insights to recommend campaigns.

  • Develop and lead campaigns and events for military/veteran hiring, diversity and inclusion, and equality, alumni, and referral programs.

Marketing and Branding

  • Develop marketing materials (email, social media, infographics, newsletters) to increase talent awareness of available openings, programs, and events.

  • Multi-channel marketing strategies across digital platforms to support a competitive recruiting landscape and conduct measurement and analysis of campaigns.

  • Measure and manage full-funnel efficiency metrics and reporting to deliver operational excellence and engagement to highlight our success story.

  • Define, analyze, and communicate metrics and ROI data that demonstrate effectiveness and success of talent marketing campaigns to TA, HR & business leadership.

  • Develop strategic integrated marketing plans that deliver impactful narratives about careers at MITRE, while increasing the number of applicants for specific job groups

Partnerships and Collaboration

  • In collaboration with MITRE’s digital design team, ensure all career sites and microsites (on the Phenom CMS) are designed and maintained in accordance with MITRE brand standards and guidelines.

  • Partner with TA Director to market, create and develop organic followership via social media, campaigns, creative content and further drive the new employee experience efforts.

  • Partner with TA Leads and HR Business Partners to proactively define talent and campaign requests.

  • Partner with Enterprise Communications team to develop bold, differentiated MITRE employment brand message, while maintaining consistency among external communications for TA

  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Communications team to develop and launch integrated talent marketing campaigns and materials including digital content (social media, geo-targeting, and email marketing) and creative and multimedia assets videos, infographics, etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting talent attraction, brand development, and recruitment marketing, or in roles related to social media management, digital media, and advertising/marketing to include creative designs, video, writing, photos, graphics, and related tools.

  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating the following:

  • Designing and implementing effective talent marketing strategies and crafting employer/employee value propositions

  • Coordinating with external vendors or internal teams on talent marketing initiatives

  • Storytelling and drafting compelling communications to support talent attraction and branding efforts as well as presenting engaging content in both virtual and in-person formats to all levels of an organization.

  • 2+ years of experience with:

  • Data analysis to inform recruitment marketing decisions and in building targeted talent pipelines.

  • Managing and/or updating career site

  • Supporting various hiring campaigns or events, e.g., military/veteran, diversity and inclusion, referrals, and/or alumni programs.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.

  • Proven track record in managing schedules, projects, and change management.

  • Able and willing to travel occasionally to attend events in support of the company's talent agenda and participate in special projects or perform other duties as required.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in supporting talent acquisition initiatives.

  • Proven track record in managing email and text marketing campaigns and related platforms.

  • Proficiency in using Workday or a similar applicant tracking system.

  • Prior experience with Phenom or a comparable platform.

  • Experience in supporting various recruiting events, including branding, technology, and recruitment.
