KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join as our Business Process Groups Data Officer.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Chief Digital Officer; forge and enhance a data strategy that aligns with the firm's goals and objectives and aligns with KPMG global strategy
Directly manage data strategy and standards, in addition to data governance, architecture, privacy and third-party data management
Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security and compliance
Govern and coordinate a federated data management environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence
Provide strategic guidance and insights to firm senior leadership on innovation, emerging trends, technologies and best practices in data management and analytics; drive the development and implementation of data analytics tools, platforms and infrastructure to enable advanced analytics and reporting capabilities
Exhibit leadership and initiative, educate and evangelize for a data-driven organization as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues, with a strong focus on continual improvement, helping to build a leading platform which best drives profitable growth for the firm
Qualifications:
Minimum fifteen years of recent relevant work experience; familiarity with leading a governance function
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited college/university; master's degree preferred
Deep domain experience, spanning vendor technologies, data warehousing, quality and governance, Metadata, Master Data Management, Data Quality Tools; establishing data lineage in a traditional structured and Hadoop data lake environments
Demonstrated analytical, planning, organizational and execution skills along with excellent interpersonal skills with strong collaboration and teaming
Ability to think/conceptualize independently and creatively, quality control and attention to detail, and business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications and drive action
