Test Technician

2 nd shift – 2:00PM – 11:00PM Monday through Friday
Job Description:
This role will support acceptance testing functions on production AND development/prototype products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site. The effective candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks and testing functions in support of a manufacturing / production environment on 2nd shift. The candidate will work directly with engineering on production and troubleshooting tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.
Fault-isolate problems and assisting in the resolution of issues between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the devices under test.
Experience in observing, analyzing, and reporting test data.
Select and set up appropriate test equipment based on test specifications.
Interpretation of test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to choose pass/fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed.
Basic use of hand tools, torque tools and analyzers, and power tools.
Required:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of six (6) years relevant experience.
Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools.
Experience with Microsoft excel, MATLAB, programming, drive share mapping, and basic computer programs.
Experience in performing product tests by utilizing procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and other related documentation under limited supervision.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired:
Minimum of two (2) years of testing experience; education in a STEM background may be substituted for work experience.
Experience with oscilloscopes, pulse generators, programmable network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, and other test assets
Related experience working in a manufacturing, assembly, aviation or naval environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
Experience in performing product tests by utilizing procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and other related documentation under limited supervision.
