Test Technician

$29.08/hour

Requires active SECRET clearance to start

2 nd shift – 2:00PM – 11:00PM Monday through Friday

Job Description:

This role will support acceptance testing functions on production AND development/prototype products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site. The effective candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks and testing functions in support of a manufacturing / production environment on 2nd shift. The candidate will work directly with engineering on production and troubleshooting tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.

• Fault-isolate problems and assisting in the resolution of issues between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the devices under test.

• Experience in observing, analyzing, and reporting test data.

• Select and set up appropriate test equipment based on test specifications.

• Interpretation of test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to choose pass/fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed.

• Basic use of hand tools, torque tools and analyzers, and power tools.

Required:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of six (6) years relevant experience.

• Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools.

• Experience with Microsoft excel, MATLAB, programming, drive share mapping, and basic computer programs.

• Experience in performing product tests by utilizing procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and other related documentation under limited supervision.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired:

• Minimum of two (2) years of testing experience; education in a STEM background may be substituted for work experience.

• Experience with oscilloscopes, pulse generators, programmable network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, and other test assets

• Related experience working in a manufacturing, assembly, aviation or naval environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.

• Experience in performing product tests by utilizing procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and other related documentation under limited supervision.
