Summary This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR position, position description D1444000, within the 108th MXS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. Its purpose is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities within one of three major work functions (Aircraft Generation Division, and the Equipment Maintenance and the Component Repair Branches of the Aircraft Maintenance Division. Responsibilities As an AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, WS-8801-14, you will: Resolve grievances and ensures proper corrective action is taken Recommend promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors Readiness evaluations, inspections, and command support exercises Plan the overall allocation of personnel, funding, and equipment resources Ensure that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow safety precautions Implement safety regulatory requirements. Coordinate and direct the work of units supervised. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Requirements Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
