Jacobs Survey Intern - Summer 2025 in Mcdonough, Georgia

You’ll have the opportunity to operate survey equipment, calculating angles and distances for points to be set while learning field calculations and procedures. We’ll also rely on you to prepare supplies needed for survey jobs so we can tackle challenging environmental projects, together.

This is a field position that has the following physical demands over a 10-hour period daily when working onsite.

  • Requires physical exertion in various conditions of climate and hilly and hard asphalt/concrete terrain.

  • Requires long periods of standing, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.

  • Requires recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (50 lbs.) such as surveying equipment and related surveying field items.

  • Requires general physical and mental characteristics and abilities leading to above-average agility and dexterity, adaptability, to different field conditions, knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor's of Science degree with an emphasis on surveying from an accredited program

  • Must beat least a rising Junior

  • Experience working Microsoft Office Software

  • Willing to travel and work in the field as needed

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • 3.0 GPA

  • A previous internship related to your field of study

  • Experience using Trimble equipment
