GENERAL FUNCTION

The Inventory Control Manager (Demand planning) defines a forecasting and inventory management strategy for retail permanent and seasonal materials. This entails close monitoring of costs, lead-times, planning, and inventory management to ensure that market needs are met while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaises with regional Retail Execution/Supply Chain teams for quantity consolidation of regional needs.

  • Maintains current props/displays forecasting order form against current Visual Merchandising guidelines for all brands (transfer to Trade-up platform).

  • Manages the purchase order process for Corporate tools production/printing, supporting (when possible) markets for local tools production.

  • Creates reporting mechanism for analyzing historical usage data and setting optimal reorder points.

  • Owns Retail master production calendar.

  • Liaises with Operations and Marketing teams for budget alignment of all replenishment orders.

  • Oversees vendor production process.

  • Makes sure all made to stock products are produced on time and are of good quality.

  • Reviews vendor performance, and identifies training needs.

  • Manages technical drawings.

  • Liaises with different stakeholders e.g. Suppliers, Creative Department, Procurement, Marketing, Operations, Retail Execution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in planning based environment, and in a corporate environment

  • Knowledge and experience in planning and forecasting related activities within a structured framework

  • Working knowledge of Trade Marketing activities and materials

  • Experience in managing complex projects within a matrixed organization

  • Experience in preparing presenting reports and briefings

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Strong Excel, PP, Outlook, etc.)

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of different logistic/transportation methods

  • Strong working knowledge in SAP

  • Demonstrated skills/traits including: highly organized, innovative, and high ethical standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a retail based environment
