POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Team Lead, Site Supervisor, Field Supervisor or Account Manager, this position is responsible for performing Janitor duties for office buildings, laboratories, retail establishments, retail centers and/or related areas. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
Maintains quality between 90-95% in all assigned areas including completion of cycle cleaning.
Clean and sanitize rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, break rooms, cafeterias, corridors, elevators, stairways, gym, locker rooms and all other work areas (may include sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming).
Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture.
Dust Furniture, equipment and A/C vents.
Police and clean stairwells.
Polishes metalwork.
Spot clean walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, light switches and sills.
Empties wastebaskets, recyclable containers and cleans ashtrays and transports trash
and waste to disposal area. Disposes of trash. Taking and throwing into dumpster.
Breaks down cardboard boxes
Replenishes bathroom supplies. (And/or supplies as needed in kitchens, etc.)
Maintains janitor closet clean, organized and stocked.
Maintains key and/or alarm codes and ensure area is secured at end of shift as required.
Consistently practices proper safety procedures (company and site) including, but not limited to, wearing personal protective equipment and/or clothing, adhering to universal precautions, maintaining proper body mechanics and following proper electrical equipment and safety guidelines.
Reports equipment malfunctions and job site hazards to the team lead/supervisor.
Identifies and reports safety hazards throughout the facility.
