Aerotek CNC Machinist in Mayville, Wisconsin

Job Description

We provide industry-leading lifecycle services for all types and makes of industrial cranes and hoists, as well as sustainable lifting solutions covering a full range of industrial applications. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to build industrial overhead cranes and material handling equipment for various industries, including shipyards, steel factories, and lumber mills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC lathes or CNC machining centers to produce shafts, wheels, pinions/gears, drums, sheaves, and related machined crane components.

  • Read and interpret part drawings to ensure proper dimensions of machined specifications.

  • Perform 1-2 setups per day; familiarity with G-CODE is a plus.

  • Maintain tooling and perform preventative maintenance.

  • Ensure proper inspection, including first piece inspections, and make adjustments as required.

  • Maintain accurate records, files, and databases as required.

  • Keep supervisors informed of pertinent issues and information warranting their knowledge, action, and/or resolution.

Shift (4-10s)

1st Shift - 5am-3pm

2nd Shift - 3pm-1am ($2 premium)

Work Environment

You will work in a facility with multiple machining centers and machine variations, including CNC and manual machines. Most of the work involves repairing and upgrading crane parts sent back from the field, which can range from newer to very old parts. Many parts require an overhead crane for movement as they can weigh over a ton. PPE required includes steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and earplugs.
